In August of 2009 Ted Cahall became the Executive Vice President and CTO of AOL in preparation for their spin-out as a public company. He was also appointed to Virginia's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Investment Authority. In January of 2009, Ted Cahall was promoted to President of AOL's Products and Technologies. He added AOL E-Mail, Toolbar, Mobile, Truveo, and the AOL Desktop Client to his previous responsibilities.
